The first showing of a group of new intaglio prints by Baud Postma. Derived from AI generated images and transferred using traditional photographic processes onto intaglio printing plates.

Artworks were float mounted over mitred black walnut interiors and box framed in splined walnut frames with anti-reflective glass.

Shown alongside 8x10” and 16x20” c-prints. Dry mounted by our team to dibond, flush trimmed and box framed to the image edges in an 8x45mm black walnut profile with matched fillets and anti-reflective glass.

For Kathryn Maple’s solo show with Bo Lee & Workman we framed several paintings on paper.

Totem, 2025 (2500 x 2000mm) was presented in an unglazed black walnut tray frame, the paper mounted using stainless flat headed pins located carefully through existing pin holes in the paper, and protected on the reverse size of the work with small platforms of museum mount board to help minimise contact between the paper and the timber.

Walking It Off, 2024 and Revival, 2024 were float mounted over white interiors and box framed in spline joined black walnut frames.

We created this spline joined tray frame in sapele with an arched top and subtle shaped droplet inclusion at the bottom edge. With sapele interior, and shaped ply subframe with split batten hanging system.

Large scale circular collage works presented in white museum window mounts with hand-cut circular apertures, box framed in 25x85mm hand-finished black walnut frames with museum glass.

Other relief collages from 400mm square to 1860mm in length; float mounted on artist-made platforms over white museum board and box framed in black walnut with anti-reflective glass.

For Phoebe’s wonderful solo at Ben Hunter we were asked to make slim black walnut tray frames with minimal shadow gap for large scale paintings on stretched canvas , 1600 x 1600mm.

A large format pastel work on paper was float mounted over white museum board with pass-through hinges and box framed with anti-reflective glazing in a black walnut profile.

An exhibition of incredibly detailed miniature Mughal paintings composed on larger shaped and prepared paper with stitched elements, collage and accompanying object work. 

Laila came to us with the idea to adapt her distinctive sapele box frames with matched timber interiors to fit the unique paper shapes, in some cases to create a final silhouette from the elements.

We designed and made unique box frames for each piece.  Artworks on paper were float mounted with conservation techniques and raised on platforms to ensure no contact with the timber.

We also prepared a tiered sapele plinth for a site specific work.

Framing of three original silver gelatin prints from the 1946 series Dark Meadow, a choreography by Martha Graham set to sculpture by Noguchi.

The photographs were float mounted over unbuffered white museum board, held by discrete mylar corners, and box framed in black stained maple, glazed with Optium museum acrylic.

Conservation mounting and box framing of various works on paper supporting the conception and execution of sculptural works, and some as entirely stand-alone pieces. Some of which created at the early part of Rugg’s career in the 1960s and others as recent as 2010.
With float mounting chosen to suit each particular paper, and splined maple box frames hardly larger that the works themselves. Displayed alongside companion sculptures where relevant.

Including spray finished white lacquer, splined black walnut, limed maple, and mirror polished welded stainless steel.
